  • Classical Indian music is actually very complex, although it may seem very simple. Just because you may not like what you hear doesn't mean that it is terrible music. Yes, you have a right to share your opinion, but have some respect for Indian culture and art.

  • There is this Indian proverb - 'How can a pig appreciate the fragrance of sandalwood !' . It suits people like you !

  • really nice....... i love classical music....

  • This is music is a spiritual phenomenon, if you listen it with your ears open you'll transcendent to a world of silence.

PS: I'm not Indian, just a lover of true music.

  • all cannot enjoy the karnatak music. It requires some good family background and what is called as "Samskaara." It is said that the people who cannot understand literature, music an Art is a beast ( beast) without a tail --akkihebbalvenkatesh

  • I like Carnatic Music a lot! What is appropriate way to learn it.How do I start with it's basic or foundation level....anybody whocould guide me.

  • Any one can not sing Carnatic music. Since it is sung by some mediocre people its mocked upon by people.

  • @insignialead I for one think this is wonderful. very very wonderful

  • 13 dislikes by 13 britney sprears fans who didn't understand the complexity of this music

  • @sunkumarable if you go to a public lecture on physics, it will be quite empty with very few people. If you go to a belly dance it will be thickly packed. That doesn't mean the latter is better than the former. Similarly, carnatic music is an intellectual pursuit.

  • @insignialead Thank you insignialead! I have loved Classical Indian music even before i knew what it was (from very early childhood). One of my earliest memories was of being 3 years old and hearing Indian music from another room from the TV. It stopped me in my tracks!! I was too young to ask my parents what was playing but i remember searching for that beautiful "sound" until i found it (my early 20's). I've been listening to it ever since! I didn't stop there, i studied the history as well!
