Definitely! I've been waiting for this version of the Global ID to pop up... bonus points to whoever uploads the version with Ken the Voice saying (iirc) "Good morning, you're watching the Global Television Network."

I forgot how good Global was back in the day. Now, there is nothing to watch on that station anymore.

Ya, that's sad. The TV station I grew up watching. Some of my favorite childhood memories were on Global. Watching Care-Bears, Tiny-Toons, Beetlejuice, Inspector Gadget, and Animaniacs, ALL before I left for school in the mornings. Very sad to know that one day, ALL of it will just be a precious memory.

All right! Somebody should find a video of old cartoon promos on either NTV or ASN (as aired in Newfoundland and Labrador) and upload it on YouTube. I'D LIKE TO SEE THAT!!!

its kind of saddening that today's kids wont be able to see 80s or 90s based kids show today. It can still appeal to today's kids.
This is what happens when Global TV becomes so "corporatized" that eliminated all the kids shows for soap operas that aren't appealing anymore.

@625line The Global TV network is in Canada but the company, Canwest Global, has gone into bankruptcy and has been shutting down or selling many of it's stations so I don't know how much longer it will be around.

Makes me wish I could re-live my childhood days. I miss Saturday cartoons on Global and just being a care-free kid.

Dude, this is awesome! This brings back a lot of memories. Just out of curiosity, did these promos come from master tapes, because the quality is very sharp and the sound is crystal clear. I approve! ;0)

Thanks! These came off an old vhs tape, which had the recordings in SP mode so that's how they managed to look so good, 20 years on!
