The Economy & Energy - New Drilling in America

Gasoline prices have dropped of late. That may present the illusion that energy should no longer be an issue for us. It is more likely that this drop is temporary. It will come up again soon, to say nothing of within the next four years. Most of America has wanted us to start using our own sources of oil for some time. Senator McCain allowed the precipitous rise in oil prices to affect his viewpoint. Senator Obama actually seems a little glib on this topic. Actually, he is as resolved as the current Speaker of the House. Speaker Pelosi has proposed that areas which are available, but not viable, be explored as if they are viable before those areas where our oil is known to reside will be made available. This is misguided.
