The Black Panther Party were getting Africans and non-Africans to fight for their self-dependence and to fight against injustice.
The Black Panthers were strong, loving and they were for both self-dependent human rights and global human rights.

Black panthers were a group that fought for black folks should have equality. Not a damn thing wrong with that.

I like how around this time the bay area was just complete madness. It's really interesting. In San Fran you've got the hippie movement and across the bridge in Oakland it's a whole other world with the Black Panther party. I think this time period solidified the two cities where people today still think of the misconception of San Fran being the free loving liberal and Oakland being the poor, ugly, tough renegade.

I wish people still thought like this, just because Obama is president is president doesn't mean exploitation isn't still going on. Fuck Capitalism, power to the people. Thanks uploader.

I agree with the author of this video, that they did use a military type of organization to achieve the results of change in a system that they felt could not be changed without being able to defend themselves and other blacks, without the ability to defend themselves. They did not believe in laying down to get ahead. I always wished that I had an opportunity to join them in the struggle!! They used their constitutional rights to bear arms and were not afraid to display them.

@peasah2005 They were also against racism, see the white panter party.

The Black Panthers weren't so-called racist because African people were always racially attacked, discriminated and grossly pre-judged and the Black Panthers were the ones who elimated the disgusting racist explotating capitalistic and imperialistic system.
this video and audio seems misleading. makes them seem like terrorists. militant self defense? were they fucking blowing up govt buildings all day or what? black panther party was ultimately for the unity, strength, and reform of black people and society. they clearly had some misused rage at times. but rednickd sounds like a douche, i am trying to be rude, sorry.

First of all, that isn't my voice. I took the audio from the Marxist Internet Archive. Second, I don't think it makes them seem like terrorists. You're misinterpreting the vocabulary. And it is never appropriate to say someone sounds like a douche. Voices, like appearances, mean nothing.
