Thankyou for these interesting and well made videos. My family originate from this Sutherland area and ended up in Glasgow via N Ireland My Grandparents emigrated to NZ and the homesickness destroyed my Grandfather.
I can imagine the pain many of these people suffered being evicted from their homeland. the English were not to blame more injustice and hatred was inflicted by Scots on Scots than in any other race or culture.Scottish people have an uncanny ability to hate one another.

biased again.
as a northumbrian i have to point out that the oldest recorded tartan in britain is actually the northumbrian tartan also called border check, and (particually to albiontyke) actually northumbria actually consisted of many of the lowlanders you speak of, edinburgh was even the capital at one point, and we were allied with the kingdom of strathclyde which covered most the rest of them including cumbria before it became a northumbrian colony. northumbria and northumberland different

@19alba87 It's what the British establishment does not the English. In percentage terms there are more Scots in the wicked establishment than English. It wont matter soon cos it has been her majesties pleasure to sign away our sovereignty to the EU when the 7th treaty is signed England will be broken up into 9 separate regions all reporting directly to Brussels. The UK will be a Kingdom of 12 puppets controlled by the unelected eurocrats.

@19alba87 Thanks again. Please forward the link to anyone you can think of who might be interested. We are hoping that the story gets a wider understanding in the world.

@19alba87 This is Jim Sutherland Senior. I passed your comment on to young James. Thanks for the thoughts.
I did not know about the Northumbrians going into the Highlands. I knew clans and tribes from Northumberland and Cumberland which is in England on the borders had many skirmishes with the Lowland Scotts. Can you please let me know whre I can read about that ? Such an interesting subject . I have been to Scotland many times and the Highlanders are generaly such dignified people.
