The Malaysian Government is about to introduce a mandatory national healthcare system called 1Care, which will force you to give up to 10% of your monthly income to pay for basic healthcare. If you don't like it, you'll have to pay more to see another doctor or get better medicine.
poor ppl will be marginalized then.this system is exactly what makes the healthcare in usa failing.

@MrGangeticus You're quite the shitbrain aren't you? There is no necessity to lump all taxes under income tax. In fact, a tax break-down would be helpful for everyone to scrutinise the government's spending only if the government were more transparent. If it is indeed true that a feasibility study that was carried out reasonably well showed that healthcare can be improved by the additional tax, implement it, I say. I am by no means commenting on the validity/ulterior motives of this tax.

@fixiosis ...continued. The taxes so collected are to pay for these services. The taxes so collected are not to used as a personal piggy bank or to enrich the cabinet or their families (e.g. NFC - need I say more?). Their fundamental use and reason is to provide (excellent) public service such as healthcare. 1Care is similar in principle to the tolled roads and highways in Malaysia. We are all familiar with it. Again, to be extremely on this: YOU are the fucking moron. Thank you.

@fixiosis Just to be very clear here: you are the fucking moron. Healthcare as part of the government "subsidy" (as you call it) is a non negotiable government service. There is no issue of "subsidy" in healthcare. It is the reason why there are taxes, levies, excise etc. in a country's financial system. To make it simple for the brainless like you, government collects money ---> give services (edication, healthcare etc.etc.). non negotiable. period.

I'm willing to bet that there are idiots among us who have watched this video and agree wholeheartedly with it WITHOUT doing some background research. No country is going to make any progress without taxing its citizens, would 10% of your income be a terrible price to pay if you were guaranteed better services at public hospitals? Shorter waiting times perhaps? Subsidies are NOT sustainable. Look at Greece and Nigeria for lessons.
