Where do you get an Explorer kit? I'd love to know so I can get one.

If you paid 200.00 or less on that EXP kit, it's a steal. All you need is a little time and knowledge and you own what would otherwise be a 1,200.00+ guitar. I want to do that sometime.

@g3speed14 poplar is a weaker wood, more easily damaged, and does make a difference between sound

@g3speed14 Well......wood is wood....some would argue that certain wood will effect the sound quality. as far as the over all look....If you are going to paint it then poplar is a good paintable wood. If you are going to use a stain or nature then mahagany deff beats poplar and the end result will be a more pleasing finish. Hope this helps...for a project guitar if you get it for a good price then why not......have fun!!!!
I have those kits in mahogany with all hardware for just $140.00 plus $24.00 S/H
Right now you can get them for just $100.00 when you join the Guitars For Real Musicians Forum. You can join from my website at rmolsonguitars and don't forget the dot com
