  • brilliant video

  • Very enjoyable thank you

  • love the video man

  • very interesting video thanks

  • some really good stuff here

  • that looks cool.. goodjob!

  • you can change expression of a note of the same volume in the same position by how far the key moves as well, and can control this by whereabouts your hand is.

there are more fundamentals to playing the piano to those listed here, and there is certainly alot more to expression in all of music than just that of the piano, so this vid does seem a little basic

  • DUH! Music is LANGUAGE. And how do we communicate meaning and emotion via language? By saying things higher or lower in pitch, louder or softer in volume, and faster or slower in speed. How can this be presented as if it is something brand new?

  • What a waste of time and money:( Very sad:( So many causes more worthy of that money, so many places that money would be better spent! This is absurd!

  • all due respect to dr. levitin, but this is news? i think most of us figured this out with midi etc decades ago.... performance and timing and nuance are perceived musical aspects ? my mind is blown. seriously. as a former academic myself, i think its time money was not spent on proving the obvious. the things he mentions we all know, if he can develop a teaching system to analyze a real time performance by a student or musician, then he might be on to something, but otherwise....
