Turkey Plant

When I was a little kid, I remember seeing my dad play baseball in this park. We would go watch him play and his knees would get all bloody from sliding into the bases. That site frightened me and I was never into sports because of it. I can still see my mom tending to him, wrapping his bloody knees with bandages and the next week he would be at it again. The field was across from House of Raeford Farms it is a turkey processing plant. It smelled bad and the people who worked there smelled bad too. I still can smell the turkeys in small crates on trucks heading to the turkey plant, ewwww. Anyway every year there is a festival held in Raeford is it the NC Turkey Festival and you should come and check it out.
