UPDATE!!! An amazing look at the current immigration rate in America and it's potential effect on future generations. You have to see this.

Global humanitarian reasons for current U.S. immigration are tested in this updated version of Roy Beck's colorful presentation of data from the World Bank and U.S. Census Bureau. The 1996 version has been one of the most viewed policy presentations on the internet.

  • Retarded explanation. "Lets help them were they live." Is that what they call it now. Thats why the U.S. is fighting wars that should never even started. Is that helping people.

  • @noerichgrove Maybe one day you will be old enough and educated enough to understand. Put down the video games and educate yourself!

  • Silly Americans, if it weren't for immigration who would pick up your garbage, stock store shelves, drive your taxis and harvest your food (google "Protecting America's Harvest")??

  • @chuckpederson That's funny! I recall all those things being done before without any interruption. What makes you think those things wouldn't be done by all the great AMERICANS???

  • Did you know in the Bahamas before anyone can migrate there, even from the USA, the prospective employer mush prove that they can not fill the position by a native Bahama born person?

Then the prospective employer must pay an application fee of $5000 to $12000 and the migrant still can not stay indefinitely. Non native people can usually only stay a year or two and then must leave the Bahamas.

The USA needs to look into the Bahama laws, if not the State Politicians should.

  • OMG! Im 52 yrs old. I lost my company of 25 years! I lost just about everything I worked my life for but my modest 30 year old home! Been looking for a job for 2 yrs and NOTHING irritates me more than a worker somewhere/anywhere who can't talk to me with any sort of intelligence about where they work or the products there, etc etc!

I want a job NOW!!! I will stock shelves, drive a taxi, pick up garbage, pick crops!!!! Instead of "you know who" !! I could afford to lose a pound or 2 as well.

  • Did you google "Protecting America's Harvest"? The United Food Workers Union has a campaign "Take Our Jobs" encouraging "americans" to apply for farm worker jobs. Bloodngutspatriot -- if you want to you can have a job in the fields picking vegetables. But americans don't want to do these jobs. Lots of immigrants don't either, but they will do it so they can live in your country. You are fooling yourself that GREAT americans are willing to do these jobs.

  • @ermom America is not broke because you increase your population 0.33% through immigration every year. It's because your government borrows money to fight wars, which may or may not be just -- it doesn't matter. That's where your taxes go.

  • Great Video! This information is needed to help the general public understand

  • This has always been the most brilliant explaination/demonstration of why we must get control of our border and of legal immigration. This makes it abundantly clear that we are not even putting a dent in the problems of the world.

I'm glad to see a new version and I hope that everyone will make this go viral.
