Romberg's Test

Romberg's test is also known a test for drunken driving, it test the proprioception of lower body ( body's sense of positioning).
You ask the patient to stand erect with open eyes first, a person must accompany him from back.
Now ask the patient to close eyes, in case of positive Romberg's test you will notice that patient will start swinging first and then fall down to one side. Normally a person can remain erect.
