Carly was good. She was amazing. BUT she wouldn't have been good with this song if Nina Simone hadn't done it first. So saying Carly's is better is really ignorant. Recognize the original talent. It's relatively easy to copy a song when you have a voice to copy. Carly has an amazing voice and inexplicable talent, but Nina takes the cake because she offers a sort of richness and originality Carly can't.
