There is certainly nothing to stop them from building their wall, it doesn't make it right. The analogy with Mexico is not correct since Mexico is it's own nation and a wall between us (which would be a fine idea to me) would not be cordoning off Mexico into a walled compound, merely it would be a legitimate border protection. Israel's proposed walls would cordon off people into totally surrounded pockets for easy control.
