This is a video I took of Aiden performing their new song, We Sleep Forever in Cleveland at the House of Blues on 10-19-06. This song will be available on their upcoming EP entitled Rain In Hell, which will be in stores this Halloween!
"We Sleep Forever" kicks major ass. I wish my digital camera took vids like that; I took a vid of this song two nights ago, but the quality isn't anywhere near this good. What type of camera do you use?
Thank you. This video was taken with a Canon PowerShot SD600 Digital ELPH, however I don't recommend this camera for show shots. Especially for pics from the pit.
Is there any particular camera that you *do* recommend for show shots? I've been using an ancient Kodak EasyShare digital - my mother's - and I'm saving up for a camera of my own because her's is probably the worst digital camera around for ANY show photography or video recording. I get lucky every now and then and it takes a few nice shots in good outside light, but in a concert setting? Ugh. I don't know why I even bother bringing it.
Anything with image stabilization/shake reduction will help keep your pictures sharp. And make sure that the aperture (or F-stop) is low. Somewhere between 2-3. That means that it'll do well in low light settings, like shows.
I'd recommend when you buy your camera, going to an actual photography store and explaining to the clerk that you're looking for a camera that'll do well at shows. They should be able to help!
