Alone in darkness on this night,
Memories are crawling by.

That I can no longer deny.

Barely clinging to this muddy sphere?
But the time matters less
Than the essential question "WHY?"

Centripetal forces pull me in,

As I'm chewed up and spit out
By those ravenous jaws of life.

As the coward that I will always be....
