Link and Mary were winded from the fight. The creatures made they're last cries as they died. Then they heard a voice in the distance.
???: What are you doing?! You should be resting!
An elvan woman, clad in mostly black robes with a wizards hat and a staff ran to the sceen. As soon as she got there, she was short of breath.
???: *pant* *pant* It is amasing that you are *pant* even concious, let alone capable of *pant* fighting! But your descision was reckless! It is also amasing that you are alive at all! *pant* When we found you, you were at the brink of death! It took us over a day to bring you back!!! *pant* *pant* *pant*
Link didn't want to see Mary take this.
Link: Oh, come on, Fumie (refering to the elf)! If it wasn't for Mary we would have lost many more lives today! Doesn't that mean anything to you at all?!
Mary just thought of something.
Mary: Speaking of which, how is everyone else?
Fumie: Some are wounded but everyone is alrigh - - Hey, wait a sec, I'm not done here! Because of you the aliens ignored everyone else and only attack Link and yourself!
Link: And your point is?
Fumie: Mary, you could have died, or got Link killed!
Mary felt a little bad.
Link: I could've died anyway. But did I? No! And you Mary - -
Mary looked at Link, wanting to hear what he had to say.
Link: - - I could tell by the look in your eyes that you knew that you might die too.
Mary was shocked. How did he know (no, Link's not psychic).
Link: But you took that risk because you didn't want to see people die. And that should be enough for you, Fumie!!!
Fumie was flustered. She couldn't think of anything to say about that.
Fumie: *sigh* You are right... I'm sorry, Mary.
Mary smiled.
Mary: Apology accepted.
Fumie: I must check up on the others...
Fumie began to walk back, but then stopped.
Fumie: I got one more thing to mention, Mary. We healed you in every possible way we could... But there was something we could not get rid of. Our oracle said that there was something brooding within you. It may be extremely bad, so be careful.
Mary wondered what Fumie meant by that. Then she remembered the fight with the person made of wood. She shuck her head, trying to forget about that incident.
Link: Don't worry about Fumie. She just doesn't like to see people be reckless. She also played a great part in helping you back on your feet as well.
Mary: Oh, I see. It wasn't bothering me anyway.
Mary then thought she should thank Fumie for her help.
Link: There is a reason she's like that...
Mary began to listen to what Link needed to say.
Link: you see, Fumie was an orphan for most of her life. Her parents died long before she knew them. It was just her and her older brother. As they grew older, her brother started training as a warrior, whilst she studied in the ways of using magic. One day, a dragon attacked they're village. Her brother believed he could fight it... He died in the heat of battle... Fumie does not want to relive that, you see...
Mary: Oh...
Mary fell silent, taking in the information Link gave her.
Mary: ... I can understand that a little... But my life isn't that tragic. I was an orphan as well. I grew up in an orphanage. I still wonder who my parents were... All I have as a memo is this little teddy bear.
Mary pulled out a relatively small teddy bear. It had a white shirt, green overalls and a grey musketear hat.
Mary: I think I found another reason why I'm looking for you and others. Maybe, I'm also looking for the me that I never knew.
Link: Hmm... Well I hope you find what you're looking for.
???: Guys!
Three elven children came to greet Link and Mary. They spoke simutaniously.
Children: The village wants to hold a great festival for your arival and the tremendous victory you two had over the monsters.
Link: Aw, all this for us? Aw shucks.
Child #1: We heard the mayor talking about it and decided to tell you before anyone else got the chance.
Link: Tell the mayor we say 'Thanks.'
Child #2: Ok, we will.
Child #3: No problem.
Children: See you later.
The children ran off. Link waved to them.
Link: Okay, see yah.
Mary: We should go to this festival. It sounds like fun.
Link: Yes it does.
Later that day, when the time came Link and Mary went to the festival. The festival went late into the night. And when it ended, Mary decided she should get some sleep, and went back into the house that she awoke from earlier that day. Later that night, she heard movement outside, and decided to look outside see what it was. She slowly opened the door and peered out. Link appeared to be sneaking off, for why Mary didn't know.
Mary: Link, Where are you going?
Link: SHHHHH!
Link started whispering.
Link: Be quiet, Mary. I'm going to do something that I may be able to pull off now.
Mary: Like, uh...
Mary began to whisper as well.
Mary: Like what?
Link: You see, there is this cave out in the woods of these parts, and I believe that's where these monsters are coming from. And until today, many of the monsters would run during a failed attack. But they didn't run this time. You know what I'm thinking.
Mary shook her head.
Link: I'm thinking they're low in numbers at this current time. If I don't hurry, they could regroup and attack again. I'm going there to end this.
Mary: Wait!
Mary shouted that comment. Link flinched from the sudden change of volume. Mary started whispering again.
Mary: Sorry... Let me come with you, it sounds too dangerous for one person to do by they're self.
Link: Okay, you can come.
Mary smiled. They then both went in the woods. The woods were dark, but that didn't matter to them. After half an hour of walking later, they stumbled upon the mouth of a cave.
Link: Here it is. Be careful.
Link went in first, Mary close behind. It eventually got to dark for either of them to see.
Link: No problem.
Link lit his lanturn and they both proceeded through the dark tunnels. They then found a large chamber, in the back were a bunch of fleshy cocoons.
Link: Stand back, Mary.
Link started setting up many bombs. When they detinated, strange goop went flying everywhere. Link got in front of Mary and raised his shield. The goo hit neither of them. Link shook off as much as he could off of his shield, the goo appearing to disolve his shield. After that, Link looked at Mary.
Link: Well that was easy.
Link and Mary began to head back. In one of the tunnels Link stopped and signaled Mary to stop and be quiet. His ears perked every now and then.
Link: Get down!
Link took Mary's arm and pulled her to the ground with him. Mary felt something graze her hair. Link took out his bow and shot around the ceiling behind them. They both heard a hissing noise. A larger, more intimidating version of the monsters dropped from the ceiling.
Link: I knew it was to easy!
Link and Mary readied themselves as they stared down the beast.

Again, Mary's hypers don't work on it for some reason. And I noticed a few of Link's moves don't work either. Maybe that's how Alien Swarm and Queen work? I wouldn't know really. A few skipped frames, but this took me awhile to get. The queen sometimes spams those run-back-and-forth moves, and that tail can get annoying.

It's called Mugen. It's a game engine that plays like 2D fighters that allows people to make their own characters and stages for it.

Why? I would NEVER say that Alien and Magic would never Colide. But then thats kinda bullshit in a way, because if Alien and Preadator can meet, why can't they? And i'm aware its a fanfic, I'm just saying. If Preadator had problems with the Alien Queen, why have they not? (In all realism Link is only flesh and blood, i'm not sure about the other one, but Just one Inner snapping jaw landing home should kill him, or if not that, Critcally wound him)

I know that alien qween could easily rip Link appart. As far as the series goes, he'd probably try to avoid most of the blows, and as far as the game engine goes, alien queen isn't really the toughest boss out there. And Link does get critically wounded (read the description of 18, you don't have to watch it if you don't want to).

Theres no way they would beat Alien queen with Swords when Marines could not kill her with guns.

First of all, it's a fanfic. Second, this is a fighting game engine, and people with guns (or alot of projectiles in general) usually do better than people with melee weapons would on alien queen. And last of all, even if it weren't a fanfic Link's sword is magical (and don't you start complaining about how aliens and magic would never get involved with one another) and Mary's extra limb has unimaginable strength.
