But is Piper saying that JUSTIFICATION is a subjective change of heart? Justification IS all or nothing. It requires absolute perfection. That is why only Christ's imputed righteousness will do. That happens external to us, but it most definitely IS all or nothing . . . or else it's nothing at all.

Sanctification is done by God's Word speaking new propositions to your mind. It's actually quite intellectual.
Thoughts are behind all of our actions.
All this emotional talk, with akward gestures, and talk of "experience"???
Just read God's words, understand them - - yes, with logic, that's what understand means--and believe. Your actions follow necessarily.

@originaltbyrd Been reading the site you suggested and I can't thank you enough. This is THE way that was hijacked by The Assembly of God/Pentecostals and skewed into a misleading doctrine that left out holiness and how to get it. The devil loves to promote them big churches and big religious organizations full of partial truths to confuse the masses. But praise God for the truth of sanctification that I believe will come back to this country in a powerful way!!

@originaltbyrd God bless you man. I'll read it tonight...

@MrArtist1971 i think i agree with you. see the website ENTERHISREST. ORG for a whole bunch of info on sanctification, info most Christians don't know about.

I have to disagree. It can be a slow transformation but in other countries and over 100 years ago it could be accomplished in days of crying out to God with fasting. Google Remarkable Miracles by Bevington. I was amazed. This is still going on in China, Brazil and other more God fearing countries than the US. Reaching a sanctified holy state is doable in a few days.

@blessedangel07 It seems as though a lot of new believers can. I know what you mean by the feelings things, and you're absolutely right, feelings cannot save us more than our works can.I prayed for you, and May God give us the grace to believe and put our trust in him, not ourselves or our performance!
Thx for the prayer, God bless and love you :)
Have a nice day

@GodLovesUs100 i can def relate to you! i would question my faith so many times and i would try to get this "feeling" of being more holy. we are only saved by grace through faith....not feelings. pray for me on that! and i'll pray for u right now! be blessed!

This surly is comforting. I often times get depressed spiritually because I don't feel I am holy enough, and sometimes even doubt my salvation because I am not where I think I should be but the Lord has been working in me to show me that sanctification is a hard and slow thing and I am not going to be like Jonathan Edwards overnight or after a session of "hard" praying.Grace is such a beautiful thing :) and God is so wise in all of this.

Amen, Its a slow transformation. Transformation takes you to maturity, like a plant/tree that has giving its fruit, that starts bending & leaning towards the Lord-Figure of Humbleness & recognizing that he is God. Then you will Start listening to his voice. It's the Blood of Jesus Christ that restores your Ears/Hearing. Read Exodus 29:20, Luke 22:51(The Devil has destorted our spiritual hearing and only JesusChrist can restore it) Philippians 1:6, Job 33:16 God Bless my brothers.....
Man, that's good news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
