@plutoice21 It's only haram for people who have gone grey with age. We may dye it brown or any other colour, just not black.

yes you have to henna it first for hours, it will be reddish or copper,, then rinse it with water out then put in the indigo paste in to get the browns

@nimmi3r Salam. The use of indigo to dye the hair brown is halal. You can also use store bought dyes to color your hair (as long as they're not black, dying the hair black is haram. The indigo I sell is 100% natural and from the plant itself.

I'm in Australia and I got this product from a local health food store here.
Its called Natural Henna Herb Colour - Hair Black Tint. It says the ingredients are :Henna leaves (indigo fera leaves).
It turned my hair a lighter shade than my normal brown and sort of like a copper.. Can you give me and info to why that is?

@MissLoveAndLight I am not sure why your hair turned that color. Did you use any other dye on your hair before you used the henna/indigo?
