Still, overpopulation is and continues to be the worst environmental problem we have ever had. Every resource we have is in decline, degradation because of overpopulation. Such a sad fact that no one will touch. Like the elephant in the room, everyone ignores.
correct, we will be 9 billion deep in the not too distant future and land will be more of an issue. both land and all resources in general will be incredibly scarce. cows are highly consumptive creatures and they waste plenty-- it doesn't make any sense to further clear land for them to graze. an alternative to "free-range" would be to abstain from eating murdered cows period.
Unfortunately, the real problem is people. That would be TOO many people. We have an overpopulation problem which leads to the need for food. Free-range beef is an alternative to what is offered as long as the land is available. Do something about overpopulation to do something about global warming.
global warming is still linked to the consumption of dead animals & their secretions--consider the land, water, and waste associated with "raising beef" to murder them. and there is no way the rest of the world could live off of "free-range beef." this still contributes to global warming, as it's only a compliment of the industry at large. this is like believing that being vegetarian is "green" enough all the while supporting the egg & dairy industry.
