  • Well, he's not actually steering by remote all the time, he does have a remote, though, so he can tell the autopilot to change course (to wind, or course by compass) by a certain amount of degree. Normally while he's trimming sails, working on the foredeck, or working under deck (reading charts, consulting weather data from the internet etc.), the autopilot helms for him. During a race like the Vendee Globe the sailors actually hand steer very little.

  • No harness?

  • That man needs a PRB...

  • @defleppard10294 , was done to save weight, when vincent had it he fitted a trim tab to it to improve the efficiency. This boat did win the vendee twice, but single canards are now regarded as not as fast on the more powerfull modern open 60

  • That's a good autopilot!

  • my uncle once walked 40 miles

  • why does it only have 1 canard?

  • "Riotagus" is a fuckin portugay piece of shiet! :(

  • oh he steers by remote... that answers some questions :D

  • i eat meat and fish ..but that whale died a useless death painful death....nothing good came from that - but eating meat is a moot point anyway- my point was: at least i don't find it amusing to laugh at the suffering and/or death of another creature..
