This is a proof-of-concept construction showing how the piston mod (and 1.7 Minecraft pistons, without mods) can be used to make patterned signals in redstone wire circuits. In this example, the program is being read from multiple, sequential points to open and close doors in a wave-like sequence. But as you can see, the program lets you have more intricate patterns than are easily possible with redstone circuits alone.

I also wanted to show someone how to do parallel redstone wires that don't interfere with each other, so I used that method to wire in the doors.

  • @jubjuber1 That's correct. There are a number of blocks that the 1.7 pistons can't move, other than obsidian. Like the monster spawners in dungeons, drat it. I really was going to piston one to a better position, but alas...

  • @MinerPivot99 I just found the save and loaded it up with the latest 1.7.3. Without the old piston mod, those spaces were empty of course. So I dropped in the new pistons and started the timer up again. Worked exactly the same as before. (Unlike some of my other videos that used the throwing behavior of the mod pistons that the vanilla pistons don't duplicate.)

  • 1.7.... You need to make it with REAL pistons :D not mod pistons
