@Brennender2011 The composer of the first part of "Cumparsita" as it was then called, Matos Rodriguez,was Uruguayo.The tune was an incomplete march which he sold anonymously to the Breyer Publishing house.Firpo added another two parts taken from two other Tangos & turned it into a Tango, "LA CUMPARSITA".2 other Argentines, Contursi & Maroni added the words and it finally became very famous after Gardal, another Argentine born in France,recorded the tune.Matos then wanted it back
