Its ok though. Phillips doesn't make the gogear anymore and ive since bought the sanguine clip zip. Sound id yhr same. Its only noticeable because yje hogesr was crystal clear but it still serves its purpose

I've resigned yo the idea that this is probably as good as it gets. I compared my plus yo my sister's ipod the sounds were comparable, there was virtually no difference to me. I think because the GoGear was literally designed like a jump drive that the music uploaded yo it without any change whet do ever maybe there's data compression or something with Usn cords

@CRYST2SHELL I know that your comment is from a long time ago, but I think you may have had a bad unit. My old Clip Plus (now broken) sounds much better than an iPod Video, sounding much more flat and has a better sub-bass response.
Measurements from this site also demonstrate that the Clip Plus has relatively low distortion and noise values, even when compared to major audiophile brands like Cowon or HiFiMAN.

My input jack got jacked. Now I have to ductape it to the clip. It's the only way to get stereo sound. Of coarse it happened at work. I like this player and it really sucks that happened.

@jmac1334 Yes. Hold down the Home button.
i'm not computer saavy, can someone please tell me how i can put music on this thing. it wants to sync to my widows media player but I don't even use the Media Player so I'm not used to navigating within that program. My PhillipsGoGearMix was like a jump drive that I just had to plug into USB port, click on MyMusic and send the file to the E:Drive -there is no E:Drive w/ the Sansa so I'm lost. The directions don't help. Can anyone simplify it for me please?

@CRYST2SHELL If you go to My Computer and double - click on "Sansa Clip + __GB) ( "__" meaning however many gigabytes yours is) and click on "Internal Memory" and then "Music", you can just go to your Start Menu and go to your My Music folder and drag and drop songs onto the player. If you still can't figure it out let me know and I'll post a video showing how to do it as a video response to this one.

@oledcrt hey can you help, now my computer doesn't recognize my player. I plug in the player, it can charge but "My Computer" no longer displays/acknowledges the clip in the USB port at all...

@CRYST2SHELL Try refreshing the explorer window a couple of times. Sometimes the Clips are defective in that way where they just stop recognizing. The first one I got apparently didn't have a battery in it 0.o
