Agree it is nearly impossible to tell if that is the fledgling or one of the adults, although the fledgling easily outsized both parents. SHE is enormous. Last year's pair of eaglets, when they returned to the nest, would go directly into the nest, not lite on the crossbeam. Just sayin'.
Nope...she is female! She was bigger than the mother, much less the father! And her name is Whitecap, named for the surface water breaking below her nest...and her crown that will develop in a few years!!
It's impossible to tell if this is the fledgling returning to the nest, or a parent going to the nest, because of the distance and the bird being in silhouette.
And by the way, the fledgling is a male, not a female, and his name is THOR!!! God of the Sky!!!
