Could not have said it any better kgconstrictors. It is amazing how Sean and the guys never fully gave into the corperate stuff and as a result they never achieved the national fame and/or attention DMB did. The samples and Sean did however gain something much more valuable, fan devotion, artistic integrity, and knowing that they make/made musci the way it should be made; from the heart.

Actually Dave Mathews and his band used to open for The Samples. Sean and his band's integrity of not giving into the corporate bs of the record industry is why they are not a house hold name. Sean and his mates gave up fame and fortune on the same level as DMB because they refused to kiss ass.
Hope to say hi next time you guys are in Fort Collins. Hey Sean do you still have the cam corder I gave yu guys in Phoenix back when Tom Askin was with you?
