Re: Judas Priest - "Better By You Better Than Me" (Reversed) IN COURT!

Part of a music documentary, I personally do not hear anything backwards in this part that they played in court. For what I can hear, using high end computer audio software here, I think the ones played in court sound forward not backwards!

If that is the case they had no case against CBS or the band! Notice how also they play the clips slower than normal and loosing power like on a turntable.

I will take apart the track with the software to find exactly where the part they used in court but a very clean copy to analyze. The clip from court is very background noisy and has room echo it as well. After hearing the clip I reversed backwards, I can not tell that anything saying or coming close to "DO IT" can be found and I have a recording studio here! I feel that is a chance combination of Rob's voice and the music in another part of the multi track that causes the words they thought they heard for their case!

Music is a wonderful thing and bet if you took many songs and ran them backwards you will find something there that you can say you heard!

A great example of that is the innocent song by Roger Miller in 64, "Got 2 Again", run that backwards and Roger says " Peggy and the snowman by the sea" perfectly! Check our videos we done this song too!

Make up your own mind though on the Better By You tune, it is strange that this is a cover song and not a Priest original! The song was cut originally by Spooky Tooth in the 70's and Rob and the boys put it on the Stained Class record hoping to get radio air play for Priest!

If I was going to take the band and record label to court for wrongful death I would have used the song, Beyond The Realms Of Death" where the song could be talking about suicide forwards then the last vocal on the track played backward says "I Took My Life"! It was used in court but they said that it said "Try Suicide" Clearly that would have been a song to use in this court case! I included the song in this video so enjoy! At the very end it is reversed to hear the clip.

Your holy rollers and hallelujah people are some of the blame here, they have clamed for years that the music has Backward Masking and youth leaders and pastors have been causing this awareness so to speak for years! I love all kinds of music, I have the Stained Class LP and it is one of my all time favorite metal LP of it's time! Not once have I ever thought about taking my life or suicidal thoughts listing to this record! I look at the court case as a record sale boost for the Stained Class LP! It just got it into more hands is all. Listing to it backwards there is no need, the music is just fine forward! Looking for stuff backwards in albums is just a waste of time!

Its funny because better by you better than me is originally written by Spooky Tooth, not Judas Priest, they didn't write it so if there's "do its" in there, which there fuckin isn't, blame Spooky Tooth hahaha

What I want to know is, did they consider the psychology of the two boys initially and the strength of their relationship with eachother, and were they just trying to find someone to blame for taking part in such an absurdly violent act. I think there's always an agentic shift in these cases because the boy didn't want to take responsibility for his own actions, it's just the same as the Ozzy case, people always trying to blame someone else for their own ridiculous actions.
