If we banned guns, it would probablyincrease the stabbings, but the overall murder rate would go down as it has in just about every country that has tried it. Guns are the easiest way to kill people, period.

But the government doesn't have right to do that, nor should it. Self defense against feral homo sapiens isn't the only reason the 2nd amendment exists.

If we banned backyard pools, drowning deaths would certainly decrease. But should we ban them? I say no.

@ZukefliJohan: Let's say we banned guns in the USA! This will only increase the number of stabbings (a knife) or deaths from blunt force trauma (a bat). People that want to hurt people, or take away by force will always find a way. The more bad guys that are shot and killed the less number of bad guys. The gun has been proven to be the great equalizer in our society. That is why the 73 year old frail woman can triumph over the 25 year old muscle bound thug.
