Are women too obsessed with beauty and materialism? Is it immoral to have beauty videos directed at teens? How important is beauty to younger viewers? Do you feel pressured at school to always look perfect, wear nice clothes and have brand name items? Do you feel that Youtube puts more pressure on teens to be more image conscious?

I'm almost 14 and I think a lot of adults have a pretty bad view of teenagers. I think that while yes, some of us are doing really bad things and having sex and all these things we're too young for, there are a lot of teenagers like me who do good in school, volunteer and aren't such bad kids.

I'm only 16 and I have a ton of makeup products and I just love trying out new looks. But the thing about me, is that I don't care enough to actually wake up early and do my hair or my makeup. I put my mascara on in the car and my go-to hair look is my short hair, down and natural. I love makeup, but I don't think it's appropriate for me to be wearing full on looks everyday. Plus, it takes too much time ;)

I agree with you. I'm 34, and I'm sometimes shocked when I see really young girls on here, doing make up tutorials and hauls.

When I was 11 or 14 or whatever, I was outside playing with my friends, till the sun went down.

I blame it on the internet and tv, showing unrealistic images of beauty. When you're young, maybe insecure, and impressionable it's easy to think that, that is how you're supposed to look. It's sad.

Be a kid, and go outside and play, you'll grow up soon enough.

Thanks Julia I think all of you gurus, have some responsability over your audience and i am glad you are down to earth. I just liked makeup when I was in high school, but I only wore foundation, concealer and mascara because my eyelashes are blonde and my skin isn't very good. I started wearing full on looks almost every day in my freshmen year of college and now I'm a junior... I'm a lot more comfortable in my skin right now. I can wear absolutely no makeup and realize that no one is going to notice my discoloration, they're probably worried about more important things! I do love wearing makeup though. :)
