@molinobeer -- Most of the air trapped in the powder granulation is removed during the pre-compression stage where the upper punch enters the die only partially. The Upper punch tip is slightly tapered to allow escape of air. Video quality does not clearly show escape of air/entrained powder from the die at pre-compression. Air escape resulting in loss of product can lead to undesirable variation in tablet weights. It is usually corrected by reducing speed of rotation of the tablet press.
