Harbin Student Beaten To Death By Six Police Officers

A 22-year-old university student gets into a fight with six police outside a nightclub in Harbin, China over a parking space. He keeps attacking the police, even with a brick, and is later beaten to death by the police. His body was found on the street the next day.

The standard of police recruitment in the northern provinces is pretty low. I remember reading an article interviewing one of the local police chiefs over there and he was like we don't have police academies like in the capital, we just pick tough looking young men who will do what we tell them to.
