they are able to taxi at night as atc will tel them where to go.all taxi way's have assigned letters and number's to them.they then look at their airport chart and follow the route assigned to them to taxi to a particular gate. the centre of the runways lights are white.on taxi way's the are green and the red lights mark the edge of the taxi way's.after they have retarded the throttle to idle,the cal out 9,is the height from the ground to the plan by the plans radar.
