Coyote Summer

"People do understand - maybe more than you think," Aunt Maggie says to Callie, after Callie and her bad attitude have been dropped off at Maggie's ranch for the summer. While Callie's mother is in England on an assignment, Callie must learn how to pull her weight around the ranch and learn some responsibility. As Rafe, a talented young horse trainer, reaches out to her by teaching her to ride, she helps him discover that something is seriously amiss about Kiah, a "wild" thoroughbred horse. When Snapper, a horse trainer gone bad, tries to sell Kiah illegally, Callie relies on her street smarts to outsmart Snapper. Soon, Rafe and Callie figure out that to save Kiah, they must prove he really is a champion. Callie and Rafe will need a little luck and a whole lot of teamwork and trust.

What I want to know for a barrel racing bred horse, why did they use a friesian? Friesians are more of a dressage horse. A quarter horse is a barrel horse. Not even a thoroughbred makes a good barrel horse.

Many quarter horses are half thoroughbred, especially racing and barrels. Of course, using a Friesian in this movie is ridiculous....

@cammarkgross lol i dnt care if i can just jump a dinky fence, i have been riding 4 3 years and have jumped since 1 and a half and had like 6 lessons, and i was having an amazin day thanks. just people like you piss me off. i worked at the stables 4 a VERY long time. And so what? The film makers can choose whatever breed then damn well want. Its not YOUR choice so stop moanin you cant do anything about it

@cammarkgross i didnt mean that idiot. If they wanted people could bred and train friesians for racing other friesians. Or as some friends do for a thing called "fun" which you havent heard of obs. If they have two horses they can have a little "race" of there own.
