Mariah Carey's career has been seriously mismanaged for the past two years by L.A. Reid and her record label Island Def Jam. After two flopped albums, Mariah decides to visit the therapist that helped her through her previous breakdown in 2001.

L.A. Reid is a moron, he's so out of touch with the music industry. Btw Mariah had always wanted to release Migrate as the FIRST single from E=MC2 but L.A. Reid didn't let her. She really needs to find a new label, they've really mismanaged her career after TEOM. Def Jam sucks!

"Touch My Body" did OK for the first single, but I'm sure "Migrate" would've been the best choice to kick-start the era. The album E=MC^2 was full of potential smash hits and "Bye Bye" was certainly not one of them!

AHAHAHAH This is funny but I think that mimi has to focus on her personal life and having a baby and make her come back in 3 or 4 years ! she needs to take her times to have a great quality album like TEOM was ... Even if I love MOAIA and I don't understand why it doesnt sell but you know sometimes we need to think like everybody and not only like lambs cause we're not the only one to make MIMI's success ...

She definitely needs to take her time with the next album. Even though she'll be in the 40+ club next time, I think she can still have another massive hit. Memoirs is a great album as is E=MC2. Both albums have suffered mainly 'cause of a poor second single choice. :(

this vid is so true lol i thought the single choices for TEOM were pretty poor too. ILT was decent, WBT and DFAU were amazing, SIO was pretty good too. but say somethin and GYN were awful and didn't showcase her amazing vocals enough! O&O, STN, IWYK, or circles would've been so much better!

She said it herself, the first single was decided by a vote between the board of directors of Island Def Jam. L.A. Reid wanted I'm That Chick as the first single, Mariah wanted Migrate, the board ultimately went with Touch My Body since that's the only song they could all agree on.
