Iraq is pushing ahead with its controversial oil law which critics say threatened to handover its resources to foreign-owned companies and throw the country into further sectarian chaos. Are Iraqis signing away their future with this new controversial oil law? Is the law linked in any way to agreements between US and Iraq over a long term US military presence in the country?

  • what the fuck are these guys on about - this debate simply comes down to whether the oil company should be national or production outsource. The oil law says it can be outsourced - not that it has to be. The system may need to be revised to ensure the best price is achieved for the iraqis (the people or the govt or the provinces - but that is another debate).

  • NOO! Its not the best solution for IRaq to have an Pro western government!

Thats the whole problem with America and the west, the try to force everybody to live like they do!

America need to leave, and then the war will end!! THATS IT!

I cant see how its ok for americans to see ineccent people die without a reason, but its maybe normal now in america..

Its sad, and i dont think that the arabs will ever forgive!

  • It is terrible I agree.Perhaps history will not distinguish between the first and second gulf war, afterall it didn't really end for the Iraqi people.Iraq may not of directly declared war on America but it is explicitly cited in al-qaeda's fatwa against the west.Without intervention the Arab sense of injustice could never have been solved.Unfortunately establishing a pro-western government in Iraq is the safest way of creating a peaceful future.Make no mistake the dream of a caliphate is imperial

  • The problem is America and the west have no right to entre a soverign state like iraq without being attacked first!

Yo what i know, iraq have never declared war on america and the west, its america who who makes sanctions and kill ineccent iraqis!

    Its a sad world!

  • What about Africa? All of Africa's problems cannot be blamed on the West. Iraq isn't just about oil. It is just as much about Arabian identity being benign. There is plenty of evidence of this, including the declaration of war by al-qaeda.

  • in a nutshell bitemevisa..... in a nutshell.

  • Duh - give people money and they are happy! when they get pissed and rebel, duh, fuck em, just give them more money. When they start riots in the street and protest and overthrow the systems for not giving them enough money than a system is put in place to give them more money. just shut the fuck up and you will get money and watch a 50 inch plasma with netflix movies and not be on utube.

    Definition of Capialism

  • The original intentions for "Liberating Iraq" are becoming clear....

  • Why don't they leave these good people of Iraq alone to live their lives and run their own business like every body else, I never heard if one Iraqi being awarded with mineral rights in the UK or USA by force now stop fooling the world

  • GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE then!
