Felix Blumenfeld (1863 - 1931) - 24 Preludes in all Keys for Piano, Op. 17 (1892)
Preambules dans tous les tons pour Piano
Феликс Блуменфельд - 24 Прелюдии
No. 15 in D flat major, Allegro non tanto

Piano - Erakko Ippolitov
This recording is weak; playing is harsh, pedaling is excessive, there is insufficient balance between the bass and treble clefs. This is an expression of intense, romantic love - as such it should be delicate - yet passionate - with an express attempt to hold the legato sans a ponderous effect; what i am hearing in this recording is just too heavy and distracting from the beautiful theme. May I suggest the Philip Thomson recording. The contrast between his recording and this one is stark.

@compositor82 Thank you. It is regrettable that compositions are appraised not only by the quality.
