  • so do we got to go through that whole thing with multiplying the entire equation to find the X varible too? or just the 2X+3y= 5 part? Just plug in -1 like 3(-1) and solve that one equation just like that?

  • If I understand what you're asking, yes, that's correct.

  • Hey uh..What do you do when the equations are exactly the same...example: 8x-6y=10 - 8x-6y=10

  • I LOVE U!!!! YOUR VIDEO EARNED ME AN A+!!!!!! TY SO MUCH

  • Why cant you be my teacher!!

  • Thank you!

My teacher can't teach our class to save her life!

  • Thanks for making this video. I've been struggling with Algebra II ever since I started it, but this video has helped me understand elimination more.

  • Thanks Mr. Hansen! I'm going to assume these videos are made for kids in grade school, while I'm actually an individual in my 20's in college. I'm in intermediate algebra (never excelled in math)and my teacher goes way too fast, probably thinking we catch on quick, being in college....not the case with me. I find your videos very helpful for filling in the blanks my teacher left me with.

  • You are way better than my teacher!Thank you for posting this :)

  • Actually, teacher's aren't at fault here. It's just that online learning is the way to go. The videos are constant and you can replay them to absorb in their understanding of this problem. However, teachers' explanations change as they try to clarify the problem by making the explanations simpler for you each time, and tends to be confusing.

  • This is funny because i had the exact same math problem in my homework packet, thanks for the free answer, and of course the lesson that i needed.

  • thanks this is great!!!
