@djmusicjac This was written many years ago now and "Chess" the rock musical is still a fairly popular show. The intro to this song is actually a play on 1950's Hollywood and the theatrics of major films from that era. It was about flashy orchestrally driven scores and honestly most writers of the time were unfamiliar with the eastern cultures and created music that sold whilst drawing on the mystery created by that music. Murray Head helped to capture that perfectly.

interesting theatrics at the beginning, id say they sound more arabic than oriental, i do like them, my only comment is the theatrics go on for a bit longer than id like, and the vocals kick at later at 1.47,and should the theatrics not be oriental? than arabic at beginning?
