Maps are available at the Nature Manitoba Office or likely at MEC. It's 19km to Marion from the south Trail Head. The trail's a straight line, there and back and there are no outs unless you fly or hop in a boat on Marion. Check out the Mantario Trail facebook page for other trail users' comments.

Hi, I have a couple questions for you about the Mantario Trail. I'm working in Manitoba for the summer and have a few days I can take off. I was thinking of doing a 2-3 day hike and your video caught my eye. I was wondering how far it is from the trail head to Marion Lake where you stayed on day 1. Also, did you have to hike the same path going back to the trail head, or are there other options?
Thanks,
Jason

That was a great video...is Aryan Lake part of the new trail? I don't remember it, but I haven't done the trail in almost 10 years. Does anyone know when the North end of the trail will be open again?

That has to be the busiest that parking lot has ever been!

Excellent video. I did the same 2 dayer about 3 weeks ago. Except for a couple of messy/confusing beaver dam crossings, it's a very scenic day. I've never seen a bear myself. Good reason to wear bear bells, and carry spray (I do). Considering how exhausing the hike can be, nice filming job.
is there still a standing air tower?

If you mean at Caribou junction, all that's left is a foundation
