I love the C sax. My brother played it in middle school, and he was always first chair. He still has it, and I love the sound of it!

they are tuned a bit higher than today so you might need to compensate that.

@abukamoon Oh it's not me, this horn is so bleepin sweeeet! I've played several C's and none sound as clean as this Conn. I have a King, Blessing, Bouscher, and a no-name and they all sound like crap compared to the Conn. Thanks for the comment.

I have n old New Wonder model Conn C melody with perfect condition original mouthpice/case/lyre/mouthpiece holder/neck. Is it worth getting new pads put in and overhauling? The pads were the only hing not in perfect condition. Literally no scratches, looks new outta the factory but very obviously authentic

@HiToWhoeverReadsThis I would say its worth restoring. The Conns are the only C-Mel's worth anything, the rest are just hunk...

is it true it can have a alto or tenor shaped neck?

@altosaxophoneist203 There were a slug of C's made, mostly poorly, and a lot of variation in neck design was done, but all the Conn's have this unusual straight neck.

@Birdog225 Most Conn C Melodies have curved necks but they did make a straight neck model.

@albanybeardguy Many of the surviving Conn C's do not have the original neck, which was straight, but are using a neck off a soprano which fits the neck joint perfectly and plays reasonably well and is very common to find.
