This Aria - Mein gläubiges Herze - is certainly a wonderful piece transcribed for the piccolo trumpet, much better than the original version. Maurice is showing us a real amazing aspect of his talent, playing the Bb piccolo Selmer. He plays (at 1'18'') the main motive an octave higher until a note (high F)- same height as for the 2nd Brandenburg, by the way...What a musicality ! what a sound ! It is a real miracle...Who will play the piccolo trumpet a better way ?...Need wait.
