Unknown noise started yesterday on all HF bands. It is a pulse that has about a 3-4 second interval associated with it.

I used my panadapter to visually show it across the entire spectrum.

Any ideas what it is?

  • It turns out that it was a failing powersupply in a plasma tv. A few weeks after shooting this, a capacitor in the tv finally blew (loudly).. The tv was quiet on hf for a long time butt eventually started doing this & then finally blew.
