@Xanatos21 Well compering the original movie where his mother had 30 minutes or more of screen time to just an opening sequence where she gets one and a half minutes of screen time? Really? Then bringing up how the first one was more scary is not really some brilliant discovery.

So much better than the remake! Betsy Palmer was actually pretty frightening as Pamela Voorhees in the original. Nana Visitor, who portrayed the role in the remake, was NOT scary whatsoever!

People have to think that back in 1980 this was top notch special effects, and it scared the crap out of everyone , today it doesnt look the best but its much better then the cgi you see now adays!
