My choir--the Bach Festival Choir of Winter Park--performs this exact arrangement every July 4th. It is a truly profound hymn, and an excruciatingly beautiful choral piece. I have never been able to perform this music without choking up, no matter how hard I try.....it always brings tears to my eyes.

at the conclusion of the 75th anniversary concert all former members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir were invited up to join the current members of the choir and that is why there are so many who look a bit out of place.

@TAMMYWISEMAN Rather than shed blood take courage and elect a Statesman that will follow the Constitution and restore our freedoms , they dissected us as a team effort now we need a team to restore us and the only surgeon that comes to mind also happenes to be a statesman is Ron Paul

We're singing this song (this version) for our choir concert. The entire thing is themed as a tribute to our country. I'm so excited :)
