UK warns gay marriage is wrong

The great conservative state of oklahoma has a constitutional ban on gay marriage and the ten commandments on our state capitol.

I think actress Emma Thompson summed up my feelings fairly accurately when she said "I regard religion with fear and suspicion. It's not enough to say that I don't believe in God. I actually regard the system as distressing: I am offended by some of the things said in the Bible and the Qur'an and I refute them."

As a gay guy, I find Christianity and its attitude towards homosexuality deeply unsettling and frankly the Christian Institute can go fuck themselves.

I think you will find that the reason why they wanted to fire her was because she was refusing to do her job. Which I'm pretty sure is legal. So for example if I were to refuse to serve customers because they were black or white or Jewish or Christian, I would be fired for not doing my job properly and bringing the brands name onto disrepute. Which in my eyes is the same as what she is doing.

She didn't want to perform a civil partnership in a registrars office, none of which have a religious connotation. It was not a wedding in a church, it was a secular ceremony in a secular environment. So it is shameful that she should be allowed to be exempt based on religious views when really in that situation her religion had nothing to do with it. And being from the UK I can say you have not put these cases in their full context.

Oh, and the five dollar "being similar" was laughable!
