I used to listen to WDRE. I remember an online trade I made with Bret Hamilton (way before craigslist & ebay). I sent him some sports memorabilia (figures) and he sent me a WRDE shirt and CDs.
WOW! I'm from Toledo Ohio and never heard of this station till now BUT the music and all this takes me back to 96-97 Sophmore year in High School. I feel old now
Wow, I started crying during the last two minutes of this. WDRE was a major part of my middle school years. I remember recording the last morning show, the last cage match, and the last 10 minutes of airtime on my little tape player. WDRE FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!
That's right. "Dare to Be Different" was the positioning statement of WLIR... licensed to Garden City New York. JARAD Broadcasting were awarded the WLIR frequency but could not use the WLIR Call Letters so....Music Industry manager/Movie Mogul David Sonenberg (Meatloaf, When We Were Kings)suggested WDRE
