Gay Marriage will happen will happen in our lifetime on a federal level. Those who have arguments against it are bigots... and the gay community should be comended for remaing peaceful for so long even though they are discriminated against every day.

I understand that but I also understand my grandparents were raised in a different time and are probably too old and stubborn to try and understand me. They are forgiven though

I agree 100% :). We have to remain pecaeful to show the bigotry that we're not going to low ourselves just for the sake of argument. We can reach marriage and equality by educating people and show them that we're the same as them. Educating, debating, protesting to get our voices heard. But we cant be silent no more, the time is now.

Yes he is. And is ironic, coming from a black man, that his views are discriminatory. I dont think that he's going to get rid of the "dont ask dont tell" policy either. I think that he went campigning talking EVERY NIGHT about including gay people just to get their vote, but in reality he's not going to push anything for the GLBT community. I voted for him because he was the lesser of 2 evils, but im really frustrated as to how he handles the community in general.

Lol so mean but so true. My sisters and brother understand me being gay but I wouldn't dare bring it to my grandparents. They might have a heart attack and just won't understand
