In December 2009, Time Warner Cable complained about TV networks wanting to charge too much money for their programming. Thirty-five years earlier, the roles were reversed. Compare these two "Take Action Now!" clips from 2009 and 1974. (Sorry about the abrupt start and end of the second clip -- time is not generous to ancient videotapes!)

  • I really need to go to Time Warner and of course must write to them. I have looked at my last few bills and can't believe how much they have went up. And most of which is in this year. I the rude worker tells me I have the lowest package but my bill is $200 and how is that. I think that worker was no help when I asked to help reduce the package I have. I have no premium channels. So what are they charging when the picture either freezes or goes black. And it happens a lot.
