Yes, you can download the SP2 patch from the fsinsider com website. That has the DX10 compatibility patch.

I have SP1 and SP2. Both are patches.

2 questions a)where do you buy good computer headsets and b) if you have this but not fsx deluxe can you be an atc controller in multiplayer?

airste172 if you cant even afford a new computer for fsx. you will never have the money to maintain that flying license. You need to fly 2 hours weekly to stay proficient. Thats about three hundred a week. Should have built a sim and cockpit!!

u have to get fsx or the gold edition wich comes with fsx and this.but no u have to buy fsx first

There's nothing in FSX that makes it worth while to spend upwards of $6,000.00 on hardware. They can put arrows in the air for playing games, but can't define class of airspace. They have a glass cockpit that doesn't work like the real one and interaction with ATC is anything but realistic. I have better ways to spend money. ;)
