True. Floyd said so himself. Cotto is possibly the toughest opponent he's faced in his career - certainly in welterweight. Floyd developed a lot of respect for him after the fight. This video does not give a full reflection of how the fight was. If I hadn't watched the fight I would be wondering how on earth Mayweather won based on these highlights lol -. Mayweather's hits have for the most part been edited out.

Cotto would've needed this level of experience together with his earlier youth pre-war reflexes/speed to stand a chance. Mayweather is very skilled but also very careful in selecting the right fight, not a big risk-taker but great nonetheless.

I want to see him silence the haters who call him a cherry picker. Hence why I keep goin on and on about the fight at 154. And thats the beauty of the sport, there will always be another fighter who people want to see Floyd(or any other fighter) fight.

I actually didn't like Floyd until the past couple of years, I realized that people always say, "fight this guy, fight that guy." Then when he does do that, (Baldomir, Hatton, Mosley, Cotto), then they create someone else for him to fight. I've come to the conclusion that they just want to see the man lose. To me, he's proven his point.

Why are you acting like i'm attacking Floyd? I'm only saying that since he's the champ he at 154 just like Canelo, they should duke it out there at 154.

Why are you mentioning the names of other fighters? They have nothing to do with Floyd vs Alvarez. Are you trying to say he hasnt fought the top fighters?

And when he fought marquez it was at a catch weight of 144 which he didnt even stick to the contract. Marquez came up immediately from lightweight to welterweight lol.

I didnt say i wanted Floyd to lose. I'm a fan of Floyd. But i'd rather him fight the fighters at the weight they're champion at.

Fight Martinez, then it will be Andre Ward, and Pacquiao. It's a trend that's been going on for 8-9 years. You guys won't be satisfied until he loses. Even if he loses, he is still a multi-millionaire. I will say, Guerrero and Ortiz were too inexperienced to fight Money May. Canelo isn't even experienced enough. If Canelo is willing to fight FLoyd at 147 then maybe Floyd may do it. If Floyd beats Canelo, then they're gonna say he was too young or too inexperienced.

Bro, they've been telling him to fight the top for the longest. First it's Baldomir, then it was Hatton. When he retired, and fought Marquez, they said Marquez is too small, yet Pacquiao is the same size as Marquez. After he annihilated Marquez, they said he's scared of Mosley. He destroyed Mosley. They said he was scared of Cotto for years. Even though Cotto was under Top Rank which refuses to work with Golden Boy and Mayweather. It's never enough, if he beats Canelo then your gonna say

But we aint even talking about Roy Jones. We talking about Floyd here. History has nothing to do with Mayweather and Canelo getting it down, because right now Floyd is p4p the best in the world. Shouldnt he live up to that and fight them in their prime weight?

Why would Floyd want to fight a washed up Canelo? Canelo will in no way be effective in 147 as he is in 154.

Bro, you need to do your history in this sport. He fought at that weight, but he's not comfortable there. Roy Jones fought John Ruiz at Heavyweight, notice that he didn't fight Lennox Lewis. Lewis would've killed him. When you move you move up in weight, you lose power and speed (sometimes). He's comfortable at Welterweight. If Canelo is serious about this, then he needs to meet Floyd at 147 lbs. Floyd doesn't need to beat an inexperienced fighter to secure his legacy. Canelo needs Floyd
