You can make it real strong, but not necessary, you only need it about 15-18 ppm. Also, use a coffee filter to clear any chunks if you left the electrodes in too long or ferals fall off the rod.
My Electrodes became very "dirty". It only took about an hour n' half after I microwaved my distilled water too. Then my results were: "Dirty" electrodes and amber colored solution (water). Are these the results I should be looking for?

Sorry, found my gap needed to be smaller. Try different gaps and let us know what you think it is. 3/4" seems to be just right for me.
